Opa Andrews

Bonjour
"That's French for hello!"
~Monsieur Monster (Book #1 The Shiver Series)
OPA Andrews is a high school student from the Pacific Northwest and the creator of the Shiver Series, where each book introduces a brand-new monster. You Have Monsieur Monster for Third is the first in the series, a story he originally wrote in middle school, with more adventures releasing soon. He writes with one purpose: to help kids enjoy reading again.
OPA'S STORY
Opa started writing novels while homeschooling during the pandemic. After taking inspiration from R.L. Stine’s MasterClass on writing children’s horror, he went on to read nearly 100 of Stine’s books. That binge sparked an idea: a 32-book horror series for kids ages 9–13, called The Shiver Series, where every story introduces a new monster or dark creature.
The first book, You Have Monsieur Monster for Third, is now complete and marks the beginning of Owen’s mission to help kids rediscover the fun of reading. More books in the Shiver Series are already on the way.

When he isn’t writing, Owen cooks, dances, draws, collects vintage video game systems, and makes music on piano, guitar, and ukulele. He also enjoys comedy improv and acting in his sister's films.

His nickname “Opa” comes from his Greek-American roots — both from his initials and the Greek word shouted in celebration.
Contact
Owen is available for author talks via ZOOM with elementary and middle school classrooms. Teachers or PTAs are welcome to contact to arrange.
